AR Storybooks for Kowloon City Walking Trail

Introduction
We are excited to share with you our successful project, AR Storybooks for Kowloon City Walking Trail, developed for the Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Welfare Council.This add-on feature was built for their existing mobile application, which was also developed and maintained by 3 Rices. The project aimed to provide an immersive experience to the readers of the storybooks, by implementing AR features on top of their storybook collection. Our team worked closely with the client to provide AR design and development services, which included adding interactive elements like animated graphics and virtual puzzles, to enhance the reader’s experience. The project also showcased our thoughtful approach to serving all users, by developing a few mini-games that allowed people to play even if they didn’t have the book.

Impressive Results
This project has proven to be a valuable add-on feature, which has received great feedback from the end-users. It has enhanced the reading experience of the storybooks, making them more engaging and interesting. Our work in this project has demonstrated the success of offline and online/digital cross-enhancement and co-operation. This project shows how we can leverage technology to create immersive experiences that can enhance the traditional methods of learning and storytelling.
